Experimental determination of the excitation functions of the alpha particle-induced nuclear reactions on rhodium up to 50 MeV

Natural rhodium foils were irradiated with 50 MeV alpha particles to determine the excitation functions for forming medically and industrially relevant radioisotopes of silver and rhodium using the stacked foil activation technique. Cross sections for producing 103,104g,105,106mAg and 100,101m,102m,gRh were determined from the thresholds to the maximum bombarding energy. The results were compared with the cross section calculations from the TENDL-2023 online database.
