Abstract
A \ensuremath{\mathsf{^{34}Si}}-decay of \ensuremath{\mathsf{^{242}Cm}} has been reported by Oglobin et al. But an interpretation of this \ensuremath{\mathsf{^{34}Si}} emission as a ternary high-energy particle emission accompanying the fission of \ensuremath{\mathsf{^{242}Cm}} can be proposed as well.
