Symmetry character of positive-parity bands in neutron-rich even palladium isotopes

The new data provided by recent experiments on 118Pd, a nucleus not previously investigated, and on the high-spin states of the yrast band in even Pd isotopes have been analyzed in the framework of the IBA-2 model, extending a former study. A correct description of the properties of 118Pd has been obtained by using model parameters equal or very close to those of the neighbouring isotopes.
