Using Glauber’s multiple-scattering theory, the elementary ¯p-neutron scattering amplitude has been obtained from an analysis of ¯p-deuteron elastic-scattering data at 600 MeV/c. The plane-wave expansion in the double-scattering amplitudes is treated more accurately than in earlier work. It is found that this leads to significantly better agreement with the data at high momentum transfer.
