The application of the Thomas-Ehrman Level Displacement (TELD) formalism in mirror analogue states has been examined. Original works on this topic have used several different definitions of parameters, leading to confusion and even incorrect definitions in later works. Here we present a consistent formalism, especially useful in nuclear-astrophysics studies. The validity and limitation of the TELD approach are discussed.
