In the framework of Regge phenomenology, we first study the relations between meson masses and the parameters of the radial Regge trajectory; then we calculate the masses of N 1 S 0 , N 3 S 1 , N 1 D 2 and N 3 D 3 meson multiplets. The fact that the results given in this work are in good agreement with those given by many other different approaches and experiment indicates that the obtained relations can give a believable description for the meson mass spectrum, especially the radial excited states. The predictions may be useful for the discovery of the unobserved meson and the JP assignment of these states. Some related problems are discussed and the further work that we can do is also considered.
