The contributions from different fields of mesons and photons to pseudospin symmetry are examined in the framework of relativistic mean field. The and
fields are revealed to be dominant in influencing the pseudospin symmetry. The pseudospin splitting is shown to come from the competition of the
and
fields. The energy splitting between the pseudospin partner is found to increase with increasing
-field strength, and to decrease with increasing
-field strength. In comparison with the
and
fields, it is seen that the
meson and photon fields produce a minor influence on the pseudospin symmetry.
