Concerning positive-parity collective states in ¹⁸O

Abstract

I discuss collective positive-parity states in ¹⁸O in light of two recent experiments. Single-particle widths have been calculated and used to extract spectroscopic factors. Special attention is given to 4p -2h and 6p -4h cluster bands.
