The reliability of data on (γ, 1n) and (γ, 2n) reactions for 51V obtained using statistical theory corrections to the neutron yield cross-section σ(γ, Sn) = σ(γ, 1n) + 2σ(γ, 2n) determined on the beam of bremsstrahlung was investigated using the experimental-theoretical method of photoneutron partial reaction cross sections evaluation based on objective physical criteria. It was found that partial reaction cross sections obtained by this way do not satisfy physical criteria. The experimental (γ, 1n) reaction cross-section was significantly unreliably underestimated, but the (γ, 2n) reaction cross-section, on the contrary, overestimated because of definite shortcomings of the method used for data obtaining.
