Partial-wave analysis for photoproduction of pseudoscalar mesons with truncation in total angular momentum

A partial-wave analysis (PWA) for the photoproduction of pseudoscalar mesons on a nucleon using truncation in total angular momentum j is discussed. A formalism is described that can be used for investigating discrete ambiguities. Considerable attention is devoted to the connection of this type of PWA with that based on the truncation in orbital angular momentum l.
