Cross sections for radiative neutron capture have been measured by activation for the stable isotopes of Cd with mass numbers 106, 108, 110, 112, 114, and 116 by observing the decays of the 8 radioisotopes produced by captures in samples of both natural and enriched abundances. Determination of the thermal cross sections requires correction for captures by epithermal neutrons, so careful attention has been paid to the measurement of the resonance integrals, which were found to vary for irradiations at different sites in the reactor.
