Lifetimes of excited states in Xe were measured using the recoil-distance Doppler-shift technique. Excited
Xe nuclei were populated in the fusion-evaporation reaction
Pd(
O,2n)
Xe. Lifetimes of the 2
and 4
states were evaluated using the differential decay-curve method with
-
-coincidence data as well as lifetimes of the 6
and 7
states using simulations of spectra considering Doppler-shift attenuation effects.
